The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs as a member of the party with immediate effect for “persistent anti – party conduct”.
This was contained in a press statement released today and signed by the National Chairman of the party, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
The decision to suspend Mr Allotey Jacobs was taken at a meeting of the party’s Functional Executive Committee acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the NDC pursuant to Articles 46(1), 46(6) and 46(8) of the party’s constitution.
“The matter has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the Party for further action” The statement added.
Mr Allotey Jacobs is a former Central Regional Communications Director and the immediate past Chairman of the NDC in the Central Region.
He is also a former Board Member of the National Petroleum Authority under the erstwhile NDC government.
