A 20 years old Fulani man named Idrisu Alhaji has been arrested for butchering a 54-year-old woman at Mafi-Agoe, a town located in Central Tongu District of the Volta Region.
On Wednesday, 14th October, 2020, at about 2:00am policemen on duty at Mafi Kumasi Police Station received information from one Anthony Agbledzo, that a man has entered his sister’s room at Mafi-Agoe and attacked her. He reported that they had seen blood coming from the victim’s room.
Upon arrival at the scene, the policemen forced the victim’s window opened and arrested 20 years Old Idrisu who was armed with a long cutlass which had stains of blood on it.
The lifeless body of Patience Amu was found in a pool of blood. Initial examination conducted on the body revealed that she had suffered multiple cutlass wounds.
The body has since been deposited at the Adidome government hospital morgue pending autopsy while the suspect has been detained to assist investigation.
